HAWAII -Day 7

Sad story...we left our cameras on the plane when we were heading home so unfortunately we don't have any pictures or videos from this day. Luckily we have most of the pictures of Hawaii since we downloaded them after the luau last night, but no videos. :( We were hoping that someone would have found them, but we never received a call. This is one big reason we haven't uploaded anything to the blog lately, but we have a new camera now so we'll working on doing better. :)

Saturday was our last day in paradise and we were sad to be done, but also excited to go home and see our little Carter. He had been an angel for Cheri all week, despite being sick at the beginning. We were anxious to give and receive kisses and hugs, but we enjoyed our last day going on a snorkeling trip. Kelly & James had tried it last time, and Kelly got really sick so they opted out, but we went armed with dramamine. We got on this boat that usually is packed full with about 120 people, but for whatever reason this Saturday morning there were about 25 of us. So we had plenty of space on the boat and time in the water. The first place we stopped at was Molokini, which is also a bird sanctuary. This was Christina's first time snorkeling and she was a bit nervous, but enjoyed it once she got past her fears of the water. Mike was a pro and a great teacher. It was fun to hold hands and admire the life under the sea. It is seriously a whole new world under the water. So amazing! We both had water cameras so we'll have to scan the photos and post them as well. It was hard to tell what you were taking a picture of, but it was super fun.

After we had some time at Molokini, we got back on the boat and headed out to the other island Lanai. This place was a lot deeper so it was hard to see things as closely as before, plus the water was more rough. So we were glad to get back on the boat after about 45 minutes of fighting the water. The boat staff were really nice and they feed us breakfast and lunch. The worse part was that on the way back to Maui Mike got sea sick really quick. Luckily it wasn't too bad and he was able to calm it down, but feeling sea sick is definitely no fun.

The trip took from 8-3 so we were pretty wasted when we got back. We just went back to the condo, cleaned up and packed, then headed out for our last meal in Maui. We went back to Front Street and went to another "famous" cheeseburger place, Cool Cats. Then we had to grab a last minute present for Mike's family because we found out just that morning that Dan & Analise had their baby boy a whole month early! Luckily everything went well and the baby is totally healthy and strong. So now we had two cute boys to see when we got home. :)

We had to rush a bit to get to the airport and drop off the car, but luckily they had a line just for late people like us so that we could make our flight in time. We tried to weigh our bags before, but we still had to do some moving around. We bought a box of pineapples to bring home to share with everyone. Our flight to Maui was wonderful and relaxing with great seats, but this time we were stuck in the middle, but since we were so exhausted we didn't care. We slept the best we could until we reached San Fransisco in the middle of the night. We basically sleep walked off the plane and tried to sleep a little more on the seats while we waited for 2 hours for our next flight. It wasn't until we were about to board to Salt Lake that we realized we didn't have our cameras. It was too late to run back across the whole airport to check at the gate, and the guy at our gate couldn't help so we just had to get on the plane and hope that they found their way back to us. Unfortunately they never did. :( We lost our regular Casio camera, our JVC video camera, and Christina's cell phone. That definitely put a damper to our fabulous trip, but we're over it now and just grateful that we downloaded the pics and videos that we did before we lost them. :)
