HAWAII - Day 3
This was our first day together as couples and James and Kelly were up early and prepared a wonderful breakfast while we slept in. :) It was awesome! We were introduced to James's favorite drink in the whole world: POG (Passion Orange Guava drink) It really is quite delicious, but as far as we know you can only get it in Hawaii.
Even though we still had practically 5 days left in Hawaii, we felt like we were running out of time to do all that we wanted to. We all went to the connoisseur to set up our activities for the week. Christina really wanted to do the zip line and we were all about to sign up for it, but then we read the fine print and it said no pregnant women allowed. :( Christina's heart was broken because it looked like the best thing, besides the $400 helicopter ride. Anyway, we signed up for a luau on Friday and a snorkeling trip on Saturday. After spending a couple of hundred dollars (literally) we went to the beach by Whaler's Village. It was spectacular!

The boys brought some snorkeling gear while the girls just relaxed on the beach and dipped in the ocean a few times. It felt so amazing out, that even though Mike was bright pink from yesterday we just sprayed a ton of sunscreen on and him and James went for it.
The one thing that is so hard to get use to is how salty the water is! Ugg...we never got use to it. We only had a couple of hours so after awhile Christina went to go find the boys. They went snorkeling by these rocks and they ended up seeing a couple of sea turtles and some amazing fish! The sea turtle was so close to the shore that Christina joined them real quick to put her head under water and see the beast. We'll have to figure out how to scan some photos from our underwater camera to show you since we forgot to get them on cd.

It's crazy how fast the time flew by because after the beach we went home, got cleaned up, and then it was time for dinner so we headed to Front Street in Lahiana. We took some time to walk down the main street while we waited for the sunset. One main attraction was this ginormous tree that had roots and branches all over.
There were tons of people there at the many shops and restaurants. It was hard to choose where to go, but upon a recommendation we went to Cheeseburger in Paradise. Honestly, the food wasn't super fantastic, but the atmosphere and the view were spectacular.
Here are some of our first sunset pictures in Hawaii. The camera never pick up the true beauty of it all, but hopefully you get the idea.
It was actually pretty difficult to get a good sunset picture with people in it, so out of tons of tries here are the best ones.
Do you like our matching outfits? You'll see more fabulous coordination throughout the week. :)
