Haircuts

Since our good friend stopped doing haircuts we let the kids hair grow a lot before we finally give in. Savi's hair is just getting a little longer so that is fun. Anyway, I love spending days like this with the kids and I can't wait to do it full time.  :-)

Slide!

From the beginning design of our deck we always wanted a slide off of it because it was going to be so high. Well when we finished the deck last October the slide was pretty steep and the landing wasn't great, so on memorial day we finally got around to fixing it. Both home depot and lowe's were completely out of sod, so we still have to put some in to keep the tiles in place, but the kids love it! It doesn't scare them as much. Carter actually loved it so much that when he was running up the stairs to go yet again he slipped and caught the stair with his cheek and eye. It actually looks worse with each new day. Besides the slide, Carter also loves to tease Savi so on Monday he crumbled a ton of weeds that Mike had to blast out with the air compressor. Thank goodness for daily baths in the summer.  ;-)

Happy Birthday Angela!

Yesterday was a great day because we got to celebrate Angela's birthday, and the road to the cabin was opened so we had her party up there. The weather was perfect, the bugs were not out, and the kids loved every minute. Angela loves rainbows and colorful things, so we found this pillow just right for her. They also bought a rainbow pinata stuffed with candy, who wouldn't love that? The dirt bike and tote gote were having a little trouble, but the kids still had a blast on them. We ate way too much good food and got back late smelling heavily of camp fire. What a perfect day!!

The girls room

We finally girlified the girls room on Saturday with lots of pink stripes. We've wanted to do this since Savannah was born, so having another girl finally pushed us to get it done. We still have to finish decorating the room, but we are almost ready for little Sadie to come! It took a 2 and a half rolls of the expensive green frog tape to get the paint not to bleed though, but well worth it! We are so excited about how the stripes turned out, and we can't wait for our girls to enjoy it.

Kids say the funniest things...

Jana and I were talking doing a small baby shower with family, and Carter piped in and said, "Mom, to do a baby shower you need the sprinklers on you know." Ha ha ha!  :-)

Last day of preschool

Carter is done with preschool! They had a little program today and the kids sang some fun songs. There was also this great DVD of all their activities. Savi was so proud of him. After a happy meal lunch, there was a party at the fun center in Sandy and the kids had a blast!! Savi has no fear and didn't hesitate for a second to jump and slide and climb anything. Carter had a few scarier moments, but he still loved it. Even their 8 1/2 month pregnant mama had fun going down the inflatable slides.  :-) The kids didn't love the laser tag, but it was funny to see them swamped in the suits. The picture didn't turn out great, but the day was so fun and very memorable. We're so proud of Carter and are excited for him to start kindergarten in a few months. We love our big boy!

Catching up - Easter

We had an extra fun Easter this year because we had 4 of Sarah's kids with us for over week. The Easter bunny came to Carter's preschool and made a special showing for the other kids. We also did the egg hunt in Riverton. It was a bit crazy, but the kids had a blast. Of course the highlights were dying eggs and rolling them down a steep hill (a Jenson tradition), and finding their baskets.

Planting a Garden

Planting a garden has become a fun family tradition. We planted zucchini, squash, tomatoes, jalapenos, beets, and carrots. This year we added a pumpkin plant that Carter planted in preschool for mother's day. We can't wait for things to start growing!
