HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
What a fun, fun, fun holiday! We already are starting to see how little babies make each holiday that much more fun. When we found out that we were having a boy one of the first things that Mike thought of was our Halloween costumes. He decided back in February that we were going to be bikers. Of course we didn't get everything ready until last minute, but they turned out cool! Mike made black duct tape vests for him and Carter out of old shirts with the sleeves cut off. Then we put our symbol of MC^2 on our backs in orange duct tape (yeah for Walmart!) We got a book of 500 tattoos that we went a little crazy with by putting them all over our arms, neck, and face. Then we topped off our awesome outfit with a red, orange, fiery bandanna. We looked cool, but Carter was absolutely to die for! There are a million pictures, but it was hard to find only the best so check out the Halloween 2008 link on the right to see the unedited version of pictures!

Every year the Jenson side of the family gets together for a super fun Halloween party. They have all sorts of games and scary looking food to fill the evening. They even have a haunted house in the basement that the adults scare the kids and then vice versa.

Everyone had fantastic costumes! We love seeing the creativity of them. For the first time ever Terry, Mike's Dad, dressed up! They all came as devils and we were pretty surprised by the authentic look of Terry's costume. ;-)

We can't believe how fast Carter is growing! Each day he seems to get cuter and cuter. Here are some priceless pictures of our smiley, laughing boy. He just thinks his dad his so funny!! They have such an awesome relationship.

We absolutely love weekends! Mike went up to the cabin on Saturday to finish the awesome bench he made out of aspen logs. While Carter and Christina went down for a bridal shower for one of Christina's favorite roommates. Then we spent the rest of the day with Sarah and the kids. It was fun for Carter to be around his cousins. On Sunday we went back down to Orem to watch all the younger kids in the primary program that Sarah was in charge of since she is the Primary Chorister. We watched Jared and Carter during the meeting and everyone kept wondering if we had twins. They just thought that Sarah and Christina looked so alike. We love Jared but we're happy that we only have one. They both were pretty cute together, and they seemed to notice each other more. Jared can't quite sit up on his arms yet, but they were fun to put side by side. They are both really starting to play with toys and try to grasp and eat them. Every stage is a fun stage to see them go through.

We finally got a good video of Carter laughing and talking. He brings us such joy and makes all of our worries wash away. We're so blessed to have him in our lives to remind us of what is truly important.

Time goes too fast! Mike had all last week off of school, but he already feels like he could have another break. We did have a great weekend though up at the cabin. Mike went up on Thursday night with his brother and dad and they worked on a few of the many "small" projects that need to be done at the cabin. One amazing accomplishment that they finished on Saturday was that they built a bench out of a tree! It was a ton of work, but it looks fabulous!

We had a great get together on Saturday with Mike's family and Christina's sisters. The kids loved playing outside on the swings, and riding the tote gotes. It was absolutely perfect weather.

It was so fun for Carter to be with his cousin Jared who is like 2 and a half weeks older than him. We hadn't seen Jared for awhile so it was neat to see him more awake and smiley. They didn't really pay attention to each other, but we got some cute videos and pics. Carter even tried to eat Jared's hand that kept swinging over his face, but I don't think he liked the taste. :-)

We're going to miss the fall weather up at the cabin. Hopefully we have a few more weeks before the snow comes, but it was a great weekend to end on if we don't make it.
