We had a fantastic weekend! On Friday we got to go to a Real soccer game with Mike's business. It was our first game and even though we had to leave early to go watch some fireworks, our team was winning and it was a fun time. We enjoyed eating some food and Carter loved to share.
After the game we went and met our friends Chris & Leslie to watch fireworks at Taylorsville Dayzz. They had a FANTASTIC firework show. Chris & Leslie have been going there for a few years now, and this might be a new tradition for us too! :-)

On Saturday we were able to go to the cabin and enjoy everything that it has to offer. We had a great hike with Dan & Analise all the way down to Big Rock. Carter loved to point out things and enjoyed being outside.

On the way back we ran into a little road block. There were tons of trees that crossed the path. As we were manuervering around through the bushes Carter ended up falling asleep. It's so cute when he falls asleep in the backpack carrier.

Of course we also enjoyed a good bike ride or two.

We haven't told you that we got a nice 42' flat screen tv for the cabin! We have definitely loved watching movies there. Carter is cute how he knows the cabin, and as always we enjoyed the fire.

We ended the cabin trip with a major rain storm. It was awesome! Of course Mike had to be out in the middle of it watching the fire. It looked amazing after the down pour.

We also said goodbye to a good friend, Lane Russell, as he left for his 2 year mission to Mexico. His been an awesome friend to Andy. We will miss his humor and smile, but we are so proud of him!

After the crazy rain storm that dumped buckets of water last night we went out for walk. There was definitely a chance that the storm wasn't done, but it was so worth it. The sky was amazing and Carter loved being outside. Seeing a rainbow just reminds us how beautiful the world is that the Lord created for us.

Carter also took his first steps today! We didn't get the best video of course, but it was fun to see him make that progress. Maybe by a year he'll be strutting his stuff.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!

Carter is so lucky to have Mikey as his Daddy, and he knows it! He absolutely loves how fun his Dad is. Mike is always getting him to laugh and squeal with joy. Mike has loved Carter from the very beginning and enjoys showing off his boy. Carter is definitely his father's son as you've seen in previous posts. He loves the cabin, 4-wheeling, dirt bikes, hikes, dirt, cars...you get the point. ;-)

We kept it kind of simply with an "always need" present of socks and chocolate. Carter definitely liked helping his Dad with tasting the chocolate. We headed over the parents house for some food and lots of desserts! Christina made homemade Kit Kat bars for Mikey, and Almond Joys for Terry. They were a little different, but pretty yummy. What a great day to celebrate the dads in our lives.

Happy Birthday Terry!

Last night we celebrated Terry's 56th birthday! We enjoyed a low key dinner with just the fam and lots of yummy dessert. Everyone hit the spot in presents with Terry because he mostly got chocolate candy and nuts, but he also received an awesome multi-function screwdriver, 3 new shirts, and a new water bottle.

Carter is always fun entertainment. He has recently started doing kind of this forced laugh when we play with him. Check it out.

We finally got a decent family picture because Carter absolutely loves posing for pictures, but only when his uncle Andy takes them. He hams right up for all of his pictures and we're left with the head turns and no expression ones. Oh well, at least we have one good one.

We LOVE going up to the cabin! We brought Carter up when he was 2 weeks old, and it's so fun now to bring him up and have him enjoy all the great things about the cabin. He is absolutely adorable on the dirt bike, and he already loves building fires. He is DEFINITELY Mikey's son. :-)

This is his first time of Carter really playing in the dirt. Christina just had to let him get all dirty and he loved it!

Carter the Toolman

"Helping" Daddy

We are continually amazed at the perfect little person that he is. He is loving food and uses his 8 teeth very well.

It was a little cold up there still, but way worth it. We just put a couple pairs of socks on Carter's hand and enjoyed it. Then of course we had an awesome fire to warm us back up.
