Christina's Favorite Place
So on Christina & Mike's blind date, they tried to find this place called Sub Zero Ice Cream. It turned out to be a wild goose chase, but a good memory. It wasn't until weeks later that we finally found it in Orem. Well, now they have finally expanded outside of Utah county and have opened up a couple of locations out by us...one being Jordan Landing. Since we found this out, we have been there 4 times...twice in week actually. The reason being is that Christina's siblings were in town and she just had to introduce them to this delicious novelty. At Sub Zero they make the ice cream literally before your eyes with liquid nitrogen. It is super creamy and tasty and is hands down Christina's favorite place, and the boys totally love it too.
Christina loves it so much that later that week she had everyone come there for her 27th birthday party. It was pretty crowded, but we managed to steal the back room. Mike actually had planned on picking up a Nothing Bundt cake as a surprise, but he wasn't able to get there in time. So instead we had a ice cream cake, which was awesome! Carter definitely loved the candles the most.
Christina got awesome gifts for her birthday, and one that was really fun and unique was a pastry called Koing Aman from Les Madelines. There are only like two places in the world that make these so you have to call early to get an order in. It was so thoughtful of James and it was DELICIOUS!! She also got items for her kitchen, and some fun gifts from her mom-in-law. It was absolutely perfect in every way!

Carter was a ham all night. We love how fast he is growing and how much personality he has. Practically the only way that we can get him to look at the camera is if we tell him to say "cheese" and he gives us this scrunched up funny face.
This all happened on Wednesday, August 4th, but the party didn't stop there...Mike finally was able to pick up the bundt cake so we headed up to the cabin on Sunday and enjoyed a beautiful day. The cake was chocolate chip and it was HEAVENLY! So worth the wait. :) We just love to come up to the cabin and relax, go on walks, and take the bikes out. Carter helped walk Lacey, and if she started going too fast then he was say "slow! all done!" It was adorable! What a perfect birthday week!

Happy b-day, Christina. Looks like you had some yummy treats. My old FHE brother up at BYU-Idaho owns a SubZero Ice Cream store in Idaho Falls--it is an interesting concept. Hope you had a wonderful birthday celebration.
