We've finally started the Christmas season at the Jenson home! We usually put things up the Sunday after Thanksgiving, but we weren't quite sure where everything was so we finally searched downstairs and found our Christmas boxes. Last night we just put up the tree since it was super late, and Carter LOVED turning on and off the lights. We decided to keep our cute 3 ft tree this year until we can get a really cheap tree after Christmas. Last year we didn't have to worry about Carter getting to the tree, but now he can lift and carry the whole thing so we'll have to keep an eye on him. :-)

We also put up Christmas lights outside on our house! We were the only house in the circle that didn't have any so we caved under the unsaid pressure and went to walmart for colored lights. They were actually extremely simple to put up since they had the clip on the light already. We just have a switch in the garage that controls them so it is super easy and fun to see our house lit up.

You are lucky, Jon and I are still trying to get our outside lights up. :) Let's see if we even get them up this year. I don't know if you have ever heard of Chirstmas tree hunting. Jon's family tries to do it every year. But you can buy a permit for $5 to go and cut down your own Christmas tree. Jon's family goes down to Moab but you can buy the permits for anywhere in Utah. I told my friends about it and they cut down their tree in Heber. It is a fun way to create family memories. And plus it is cheaper than actually going and buying a real tree from a lot. Just thought I would let you know if you want a real tree.
