We should have known that when the Bishop and his counselor from our new ward that we hadn't even been to yet showed up at our house in the midst of our dust from the glass blocks that we couldn't stay under the radar too long in the Foothills Ward. We were called just a couple weeks ago to be on the activities committee! It actually was a calling that we were both surprised and relieved at. :-) They called us just in time to help the other older couple on the committee to get ready for the Christmas dinner that was on Friday. Luckily the couple already had a few years of Christmas parties under their belt so we just had to help shop for the food, deliver potatoes to be baked, get things ready beforehand, and do a little clean up afterward. Everyone from the ward was super helpful and nice, and clean up took hardly anytime. We didn't have a huge program and we provided all the food so it was a relaxing and enjoyable night for everyone. We had a group of singers from Kearns HS sing a cappella for us and they were great.

The next night we were able to attend a friend Christmas party at the Hardy's house. They provided a wonderful turkey dinner and then we had a gift exchange. We gave out tools for the guy gift and a Christmas candle and candy for the girls.
We totally scored on the gift exchange! Christina received the Brides War movie, which she hasn't seen yet so she's excited. And Mike and Carter ended up with some pop guns and candy. Carter was being HILARIOUS with the guns, especially when he held both of them and would make "gun" noises. In this pic he even looks a little crazy with his crossed eyes and chocolate mouth. :-)

The house was a little more full with 3 kids, but it was also that much more fun. Vivian and Carter were funny together...Vivian ran to Carter and he ran away. :-) The picture above shows them both yelling at the same time. Megan did pretty well despite all the ruckus. It's great to spend time with good friends and see each family growing. Thanks for opening your house to us Chris & Leslie!
