Mike's surgery

So today Mike had his surgery to put his scaphoid in his wrist back together. The doctor said it was a little tricky with how it broke and how far it had displaced, but it all came together well at the end. The best news is that we found it he does not need a full arm cast! So the before and after pictures are not as different as we thought they'd be. This time his bandage is thicker and he can't take it off for two weeks even for showers. After two weeks when the swelling has gone down they'll put a more permanent splint on. He is doing pretty good and just staying up on the meds. The next 2-3 days will be the most painful, and then pain should dissipate quite a bit. Luckily his work has personal injury days that don't affect anything else so he will be able to take the next two weeks off to recover. We're just grateful the surgery is done and that it wasn't worse than it is. Hopefully in 6-8 weeks he'll back to full use. Thanks so much for all the prayers and support!
