Wonderful School

I love that Carter is in Kindergarten! He is learning things so quickly and he states it like he's known forever that 4 + 4 equals 8. :) It's his teacher's first year, and she seems to always be doing something for the kids. One Friday they had a Dr. Seuss day and she made hats for each kid! Carter just went off track last week, and she is always sure to send an email or a card to ask how he is off track and that she misses him. We're really lucky that he got such a great teacher. We also just had a Mommy and Me day. We each went around and said something about our kid and the kid was suppose to say something about us. The first kid just said "I love you." so most of the kids followed, but Carter said that I like to cook and he loves me. ;-)

At his school he has the option to do the Chinese Immersion program starting with 1st grade. It is purely a lottery drawing for the spots that remain after those with siblings get in automatically, so we were kind of anxious. We got a letter though that says he's in!! We're excited that he gets to have this opportunity and that Mike and him will share their Chinese forever. The only sad thing is that his best friend and neighbor Katelyn (pictured above) won't be in his classes anymore, but she's over a lot so hopefully their friendship will continue.
