This weekend was so much fun! While Mike and his brothers and Dad were out snowmobiling Friday night and Saturday us girls, Cheri and Analise, got to have some girl time. We spent it eating delicious Pizza Hut pasta, watching Time Traveler's Wife, and just talking. Carter was pretty good through it all, but Christina will definitely need to watch the movie again with Mike to fill in the parts she missed. Unlike the boys 4 am bedtime, our night ended kind of "early", around 10pm because we were all so tired and Carter needed to get to bed anyway. Though we all love snowmobiling, it was nice to be warm and cozy instead of freezing. Once it gets warmer out then we'll definitely go more often.
We started off Saturday morning early with the Carter alarm clock, but that gave us time to have a lazy and fun morning while we got ready to go down to Orem. Sarah is in the Primary Presidency and she was mostly in charge of putting on the talent show for all the Primary kids. It was quite the production and tons of work, but she pulled it off beautifully and everyone did awesome!
Besides our nieces and nephews' performances, the best of the best was the Bishopbric, which included Sarah's husband Jared, doing a ballet dance on their knees with hot pink tutus! The pictures are terrible because of the lighting, but I think you get the gist of how hilarious it was! Jared, who is 6'8" while standing, was still quite the stature on his knees and his "solo" performance was to cross the stage jumping and kicking his "feet." The Bishop even jumped into their arms while they twirled him around. What a great time!
Ella & Annie also did solo performances of singing. Annie was pretty quiet and Ella's music got cut off, but they both did an amazing job! What performers the Hansen family have!
We ended off the day with dinner at Outback for Kyle's birthday that was earlier that week. Mike got back just in time to join us. Jana even got a red velvet cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and it was absolutely delicious! Today was pretty relaxing as we just played with Carter, but Mike did have to study for a test that is at 7 am tomorrow, so it will be even better when tomorrow is over. All in all it was a great weekend!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!
I have to brag and say that I have the best husband ever! He is absolutely perfect for me and I love him with all my heart! Since our weekend was going to be busy with family he completely surprised me on Friday at work with a enormous balloon bouquet! I have never seen anything like it and I was so touched that he had gone through all the effort to get it to me while I was at work for a half day on Friday. I had actually taken Carter into work since we were going to be gone most of the night at the temple and I wanted to be sure to see him. I had mostly closed my door since Carter was working on seeing how loud his voice would go in my office, and to my surprise Mike's aunt and cousin knock on my door! They brought in this GIGANTIC balloon tied to a basket filled with a few things that my boys had picked out on Thursday night. It was such a wonderful surprise. Come to find out that Mike's cousin was doing these Valentine things for a fundraiser and all the Jenson boys got in on it so they all have happy wives tonight.Angela was super cute and got all the girls a soft, fuzzy, monkey. Carter thought it was awesome, especially because it would stay hugging him!

We just had a fantastic 2 days with Christina's sister Julie, her husband Nathan, and their oldest Dillon. They came out on Friday for Dillon to go through the temple to receive his endowments! He is going to serve a mission in a couple of months to Doiania Brazil Mission! He is the first of our nephew/nieces to serve and we are so proud of him! We were grateful that he invited us to celebrate this time with him. He is an amazing man and we know that he'll be able to touch many lives in Brazil with his kindness and example of truth and righteousness. Some of his Dad's side of the family were able to come down as well, so we all gathered at Crown Burger after a beautiful session at the Salt Lake Temple.
Saturday was then spent missionary shopping. They went down to Orem to the Missionary Mall and Mr. Mac and got EVERYTHING he will need. They took care of all the shoes, shirts, pants, ties, and suit that he'll need for 2 years in about 2 hours. It was impressive. After the shopping spree we went down to Tucanos to overstuff ourselves, but we forgot that it was Valentine's weekend so the wait was a little over an hour. Since Dillon needed to have a "Brazilian" experience we decided to wait and we're glad we did. The food was amazing and well worth the wait.
After eating too much we were able to visit a little longer with Sarah's family and then Dillon, Nathan, and Julie were super sweet and helped me pick up a dresser we had looked at earlier in the week. We needed a long dresser for the space that we have and we found an awesome one, but they were asking too much for it so we gave them a $100 offer and said we'd take it off their hands and surprising they wanted us to. After unloading the dresser we ended the night with watching Sherlock Holmes on the big screen in the living room. It was a fun visit and we can't wait to see Dillon once more before he takes off for the Brazil MTC in April. What a great example he is!

Carter got croup last night! He had a runny nose all day on Wednesday, but a half an hour after we put him to sleep last night he woke up because he could barely breath. He got it about this time last year and it is no fun to hear him try to cry and breath and cough. Since we didn't want to try and deal with this all night until the doctor's office opened up in the morning we took him to the emergency room at Riverton Hospital. It's a really nice hospital and it's super close to us so it was just a couple minute drive and no wait for them to take Carter in. They set him up with some mist to breath in, and then finally gave him a steroid shot to help open up his lungs. Carter definitely did not like all the strange people touching him and attaching this or that to him, but we were finally able to get him to calm down and fall asleep for a few minutes while we waited to get discharged. It was sad to see him so sick, AND on top of it all we found out that he has two ear infections! It is his very first one ever, and it was pretty bad in his right ear and slightly red in his left so we have to fill his prescription today to get rid of that as well. We had seen him kind of itch his ear here and there, but he didn't have any other symptoms of an ear infection so we had no idea. He's actually been sleeping longer lately so we're glad that they were able to catch that before it got too bad.
He slept ok last night after we brought him home. Mike snuggled with him half the night and then Christina was able to put him down in his crib around 4 since he started breathing better. The one good thing about Carter being this sick is that his Mom gets to stay home with him! :-) He already seems to be doing better so hopefully he'll get over this quick and then stop being sick! We can hope anyway.

We finally did it...we bought a flat screen tv! We've been planning on getting a 37" tv for our room since that is where we watch tv the most, but it never seem to be the right time or the right deal, but as we were just getting a few things from Walmart yesterday we ended up walking out with a 42"! Not what we were expecting at all, but the sales guy said that he would give us the display model for 20% off the already reduced price. We took PLENTY of time looking at them all and then we decided to take the plunge since the 37" one that we were planning on was going to be like $60+ more than what we could get the 42" for. Needless to say that Mike spent most of the day yesterday watching tv and figuring out all the features, etc. It is a 1080p Sharp, and it has a really nice picture. We were planning on getting a longer dresser anyway, but now with this huge thing we definitely need to get on it to help balance it out. Until we finish our basement we will probably just bring out the tv into the living room when we entertain guests, and hook it up since the house is all networked together. Or, as Mike suggest we should probably just get a 32" for out there...we'll see. :-) Now that we've watched our shows on this big screen we don't know how we ever manged to watch tv before...I'm sure others out there can relate, especially the men!

Tonight was fun because Sarah and a couple of her kids came up to hang out with Carter and Christina. This is a rare occassion, but Mike is out snowmobiling and Sarah's older kids have other things going on. We started the night off with looking at paint choices for her house and then we went to our house to play and talk. It was a fun time!
The boys got into playdough and just had fun goofing off with each other. They are growing up so fast! It will be fun when they can play nicely with each other...right now they are in the this is mine and only mine stage. Pretty soon they'll be best buddies.
