We finally took the time to go up to the cabin on Saturday! It was kind of chilly and we missed the bright yellow leaves of the aspens, but it was still wonderful! Carter loved riding on the tote goat and dirt bike and playing outside. He would have stayed outside all day except his mom got cold. :-) We didn't take too many pictures, but Terry did a fantastic job on digging a new hole and moving the outhouse. It was quite the project and we're not that sad we missed out on helping with it. ;-) Our friends Matt & Rachel came up with their daughter Kalise (spelling?) as well as Dan and Analise. The kids were cute together.
Before we left for the cabin the boys had to mow the lawn since we've been trying to find time all week, and we knew a storm was coming in. Carter loves being in the middle of everything we do so he would not let Mike go without him. We threw a sweater over his pjs and put socks on and let 'em go. He absolutely loved it and didn't mind that his little legs were freezing. :-)
With the help of Cheri and Andy we were able to make some awesome progress in our room! We actually set up our bed last night!! Carter thought our bed was pretty comfy too and crashed for a good nap.
Mike worked tremendously hard this weekend and painted the 2nd coat on the stairs (which are TALL), installed baseboards, and painted the ceiling in our room and Carter's. Unfortunately the ceiling paint had chunks of some sort in it, but Mike is a genius and took an old shirt to strain the good paint out. He has done so much work on this house and it looks beautiful!
