We had a low key but wonderful Valentine's. Carter of course had a blast at school getting all the Valentine's. He was also super sweet to share with his sister. Mike always supports his aunt's girls holiday fundraising, so he picked me up some chocolate covered strawberries. Carter wanted to eat them right away but I needed a picture of course...since he was the only one around he was my photographer, hence the fun views. :-) The rest of the night we spent at the parents with the family.

100 days
Today was Carter's 100th day of kindergarten! So his class had a pajama party with donuts and chocolate milk. He has been so excited for today, and of course he had a great time. The teacher had cute crafts and games to teach the kids about counting to 100. I love it when they do fun things and don't realize that they're learning in the process. He took some state test again recently that he took before school started, and he scored like 96 out of 102 so he's definitely ready for first grade. We're so proud of all he's learned. Of course the girls wanted to get in on the picture action. Sadie didn't know what to think at first since I wasn't holding her, but she is really warming up to Katelyn.

My cleaning girl
I asked Savannah to clean up the toys in the kitchen tonight, and she did a great job without complaining. A little shocked, but I wanted to see if she would clean up the toys in my room...she did a great job again! THEN she came downstairs and started cleaning up the whole basement without being asked! The toys might not be "put away"in the traditional sense, but I'm grateful for my little cleaning girl.

Handsome boys!
My sister and I had baby boys two weeks apart so it has been so fun seeing them grow up together. On Saturday we cut Joey's hair to match Carter's and couldn't pass up a photo shoot. :-)

Fun day
Today we were able to get together with Sarah got a few hours, and she introduced us to the free kid workshop at home depot. The kids LOVED it because they got to paint...something that I rarely let them do at home because I have a hard time with the mess and my lack of artistic ability probably plays apart in it too. :-) They did a great job so I think we'll try to go each time they have it.
