My cleaning girl

I asked Savannah to clean up the toys in the kitchen tonight, and she did a great job without complaining. A little shocked, but I wanted to see if she would clean up the toys in my room...she did a great job again! THEN she came downstairs and started cleaning up the whole basement without being asked! The toys might not be "put away"in the traditional sense, but I'm grateful for my little cleaning girl.

Handsome boys!

My sister and I had baby boys two weeks apart so it has been so fun seeing them grow up together. On Saturday we cut Joey's hair to match Carter's and couldn't pass up a photo shoot.  :-)

Fun day

Today we were able to get together with Sarah got a few hours, and she introduced us to the free kid workshop at home depot. The kids LOVED it because they got to paint...something that I rarely let them do at home because I have a hard time with the mess and my lack of artistic ability probably plays apart in it too.  :-) They did a great job so I think we'll try to go each time they have it.

Once there was a snowman...

We are really lucky that in the circle we live in there are so many kids around our kids ages. A few days ago it snowed for the first time in awhile and the kids built a snowman all by themselves! Such great memories they're creating.

On the move

I turned away from Sadie for a minute, and when I looked again she had crossed the room to find the other kids. She's learning that she can get places. So fun and so scary at the same time. :-)

Catch up-Merry Christmas

Despite being sick through the break we had a wonderful Christmas! The kids were so excited and it was great to have Jana with us. Our kids are young enough that they wait for us to go and see what Santa brought. They woke up at their usual time, 730ish, and then we got to snuggle before we had to get up and get the camera out. Thankful Santa and us were smart and got practically everything at a garage sale or the dollar store! ;-) After a nice slow morning we got ready and packed up to go to Mike's parents house. Opening presents there is definitely crazy since everyone comes, but so worth it. The rest of the day we pretty much just hung out and talked with family. Couldn't have been any better.

Seven months old!

It seems like time has flown by when we look at our little Sadie Ann. She is small for her age at just over 14 pounds, but she definitely wants to keep up with the big kids. She just started crawling last Friday! She's not cruising yet but if there's something she wants then she'll get to it. She does this cute little hop with her legs to get going. She is saying "ma ma ma" and loves to make other noises with her mouth. She's not sleeping through the night yet, due to her size, but she is sleeping for longer periods so hopefully soon. She also loves all food! Anything she can get her gums on is free game. She's starting to pull herself up, but it kind of scares her each time. She does this straight leg pointy foot thing when we change her or she's having a bottle...maybe we've got a future dancer. :-) Savi has the cutest relationship with Sadie. Savi can make have deepest and longest laughs, and a lot of time with very little effort. We love to see them play together. Carter loves to hug and kiss her and is always saying, "She's so cute, I just can't handle it!" What a true statement.

Look what's for breakfast!

So I stayed up late last night making pies and I made so many that we just couldn't wait for tonight. We had to test them out and that was the best breakfast!  :-) Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

My kids surprised me and willingly let me take pictures this morning. I was happy to get a few good ones.

Halloween!

The kids loved the parties but they were extra excited for Halloween. Carter got glitter glue on his ninja costume, so he had to go to plan b, but he loved it. Mike's family came over for a fondue party and the kids went out twice for lots of loot.

Every year the Jenson side has an awesome Halloween party. Most people go all out on the costumes and games and crazy looking food. Of course the best part is trick or treating through the house.
